I get lost with too many characters

I always get lost on who is who when there’s tons of characters. Can you recommend a book where I can keep everyone straight? I dislike romance and my favorite is historical fiction but I’ll read anything in between. I prefer short books, like under 350-400 pages, unless you know I will love it (ie The Nightingale 💙)
