Hi all, I have recently begun to read a lot in the past month or so. I have not been inclined to read since I was in middle school (I am now 19M). I just finished all of the Percy Jackson books (I know, I am 19 years old, reading a children's book), but I thought they were very good. I also read all of the Heroes of Olympus books, and I am now in search of some other books I would enjoy. I loved the hero-type books in Percy Jackson, and also the mythological aspect of them. I have looked into the Covenant of Steel trilogy and might read it, as well as The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. Does anyone else have some other good book suggestions I should look into, and why? Thank you. All suggestions are helpful, and I will look into all books.

    1. You might try Anne Rice’s Vampire Chronicles. I think it was the first series I read on my own and for a book, let alone a series of them, to captivate me at the age it did, is saying something.

Plus, I love antihero’s and Lestat’s character is one of the best.

    2. No judgement from me! I read YA books occasionally because the stories are still super entertaining even as an adult. For mythology, highly recommend one of Rick Riordan’s other series ‘The Kane Chronicles.’ It’s only three books and an easy read, plus the Egyptian mythology in it is very cool. Another series that’s not mythology based but I love is ‘Lockwood and Co,’ about teenagers ghost hunters and their quest to figure out why their world is riddled with apparitions.
