I used to read King a lot, but I finally stopped because I was getting so annoyed with his /r/menwritingwomen tendencies. I don't want to read a book where every female character is introduced by their body while every male character is introduced by their workman jackets lol. And I absolutely do not want to read a book where children are described in that way (looking at short stories like The Jaunt too here!).
I've seen 11/22/63 recommended a lot on this sub, so I decided to give him another shot. And wow! No weird sexism when introducing characters, no bizarre comments on children, the story was great, and I read it in like a week.
Are there any other King books you can recommend that avoid these writing issues he's so known for?
