Sci-Fi Series suggestions??

Just got done reading the red rising series and am contemplating the next sci-fi series to read! I am thinking about the expanse or the sun eater series. I really enjoyed red rising though I thought books 4 and 5 were rather slow with book 6 as good as the original trilogy. Not that this detail matters but it may help in suggestions. Thanks!!
