I used to read a lot of books, and ended stopping years back. Looking to come back and find books that gives a new outlook on life or gets me thinking more abstract.
I want something light for newer readers before I want to start taking harder stuff. When I mean light, I mean something not too long.

You understand your request is kinda at odds with itself, right? You want a book that delves into philosophy and gets you thinking about life in new ways, which is a tall ask for any book, and then you want it to also not be complex? You want to think about life in new ways, which I’d say requires a more complicated book, but yet you also want something short and simple.
I’m sure it’s possible to do both, but I think it’ll be hard to find books fitting your requirements. I’m just not quite sure how many books you’ll find with these niche requirements.
The housekeeper and the professor : short fiction that deals with alzheimer in a really wholesome way. It’s a very easy and quick read but might be a good start to think about loads of things.
The complete opposite of a light read is The Magic Mountain by Thomas Mann, this is a 1000 pages about various discussions that will give you a new outlook on life and very abstract thinking. Pick this one up when you managed to kickstart your reading habit back up!
