Hello, I’m not sure if this is the right sub reddit for this (if it isn’t, I apologize) but I was hoping if someone had some non-fiction book suggestions for a relative.

Some context: she is 29, lost her mother a month ago, is grieving deeply, found out 2 weeks ago that she is pregnant, got caught in a grill explosion last week and is in the hospital recovering from multiple second degree burns in her body. She just had surgery and is expected to be in the hospital for 2 more weeks, if not longer. She has struggled with addiction in the past but ever since she found out she was pregnant, she quit everything cold turkey. She is in a dark place right now and is doing everything she can to stay strong for herself and her baby and build a better life and future. When I met her today, I asked her if there was anything I could do for her and she said she really enjoys reading non-fiction books and wouldn’t mind reading one.

She said she read “Scar Tissue” by Anthony Kiedis before and loved it and wanted to read “Acid for the Children” by Flea. I’m going to get that for her but I’d also love to get 2-3 more books for her since she will be spending a lot of time at home over the next couple of months recovering.

I’m related to her through my husband so I don’t personally know her super well but I still care for her and want to get her something she would enjoy. Any recommendations are welcome.

    Thank you kind folks!
