My sister has never been a reader of books and lately, after a lot of introspection, she’s felt like she was becoming quite negative. Life has been difficult for her and her family and I want to support her. She surprised me today with a photo of an anthology she’d started reading and explained that the stories were brimming with positivity and life lessons. I promised I would recommend more, but I must confess, I’m at an impasse. Can you wonderful people recommend a list of positive, hopeful books, (fiction and non) that, according to her, contain a dash of philosophy and life lessons? I hope I’m not asking for much. Thank you all so much!

A Psalm for the Wild Built by Becky Chambers. Sci fi that is philosophical, has characters you fall in love with, and deals with the question–What do people need? I loved this book so much I had to buy my own copy (I always borrow from the library first).
