I read a LOT of them as a kid, like The Sisters Grimm and The Land of Stories, etc, and I was wondering if yall know of any fun ones? I haven’t found any half decent ones in like a century and am really in the mood for one
The Hazelwood Series is exactly what you’re looking for! There’s the actual series which starts with The Hazelwood and the companion book of the fairytales that the series is centered on called Tales From The Hinterland.

Snow White, Blood Red, part 1/6 in a series of anthologies from different authors, edited by Ellen Datlow and Terri Windling. A mix of retellings of fairytales and original stories with fairytale vibes, to the point that I recommend looking up content warnings if there are specific topics you’d rather avoid.
For an original fairytale novel, The Last Tale of The Flower Bride by Roshani Chokshi- Dual timelines- one follows on a man, a professor of mythology and fairytales, as he tries to uncover the mystery of what happened to his wife’s childhood best friend who disappeared years ago. The other timeline follows flashbacks from the perspective of the best friend over the course of the girl’s adolescence as they become obsessed with fairies and seek to make them real.
