I’ve been on a France kick recently, and wanted to know what are the works of French authors that every French person would have read in school? Similar to how Huck Finn, Great Gatsby, Grapes of Wrath etc are all widely part of the curriculum in the US and each offers distinct views into different windows of American society from which we form a great deal of national identity.
