I just finished reading those books and absolutely loved them.
I’m looking for more stories like those, and I don’t mean ones that are just graphic or grotesque.
What I really loved was the author’s writing style: she never gives more than what’s necessary, which makes the reader an active participant. The world-building too. she doesn’t dump information on you, she just shows bits and pieces along the way. That kind of storytelling really makes you think as a reader, and I’d love to find more books like that.
