I'm so tired of reading books where the girl always has to chase, is the one putting the most effort in, and would love a book where there's both povs or shows the male pov heavily (YEARNINGGGG). I Dont enjoy contemporary books but heavily enjoy fantasy and historical fiction

Murakami’s books deal mostly with male protagonists being pulled outside their comfort zones. Heads up his books don’t always make sense in the convention / familiar ways, but they’re still enjoyable for the general reader and his devoted fans will tell you he hung the moon.
