Idk if it helps but I’m 22(F) and here are the books I’ve read recently :
- Severance by Ling Ma
- Bliss Montage by Ling Ma
- Lesser Known Monsters of the 21st Century by Kim Fu
- How To Be Eaten – Maria Adelmann
- Someone Will Love You in All Your Damaged Glory by Raphael Bob-Waksberg
- The Pisces by Melissa Broder — Liked it, but not as much as the others
- Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World by Haruki Murakami
- Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro
- Bunny by Mona Awad
- Rouge by Mona Awad
I also listen to horror lit video essays and have been interested in fantasy/horror books but haven’t found anything. I’m not into BookTok books – tried ACOTAR and it was just not for me – I’m not a BookTok girlie so I figured Reddit might be a little more helpful. Bonus points if it’s available as an audiobook because I work 7 on, 7 off 12-hour shifts with an hour commute each way, so I listen to books on my off week and read physical books on the off week.
