Im looking for books that just puts you right in a lush, hot, sweaty haze. Something like Gone Bamboo,The Rum Diary, Hot Milk, The Travellers Tree, or Brideshead Revisited.
Books with a languor and listlessness in a sweaty atmosphere, preferably with some adventure (however mild), alcohol, beautiful people, and a longing and desire for more. Books that make you feel like you’re wiping the sheen off your face with every turn of the page.
