Hello all. Recently, I realised that I haven’t read books from quite a few countries, and I’d like to change this so I can diversify my tastes and perspectives. I’m aiming to create a document of suggestions on books from every country and start tackling that list. I’m open to every genre, including non fiction. I’d love some input from this community! What’s your favourite book from your country? What are your favourite books from other countries?

    Thanks!

You could try getting a collection of short stories that are selected from around the world. It’s a nice intro to different writing styles.

    2. Italy: My Brilliant Friend by Elena Ferrante (or you could go old-school with Dante’s Divine Comedy)

Since you might have trouble finding one from Oman: *Celestial Bodies,* by Jokha Alharthi. I am not Omani and never been there, but an excellent book
