I am heavy with emotion lately. Heartbroken in some sense. I write, I sing, but I would love to read something that really pulls my heart. I haven’t cried while reading a book in some time.
Sounds like a way of self harm, wanting to cry while reading, ha. But I can’t be alone in this feeling … right?
Anyway, any suggestions would be much appreciated x

Right there with you and wondering the same.
A thousand Spledid Suns
The Kite Runner
Flowers for Algrenon
The Last Jew of Treblinka.
All of these made me cry.
For me, this is the entire point of sad movies, songs and books – letting us feel the world of emotion in a safe and enclosed space.
Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller is filled with all the emotions (with sad featuring heavily) and is a comforting book to cry to.
