Since you liked Educated you might like The Sound of Gravel by Ruth Wariner.
And if you like Karin Slaughter you might like Lisa Gardner. Both her Frankie Elkin series and her DD Warren series are great but I like Frankie a little better.
You may like Under the Banner of Heaven by Jon Krakauer if you liked Educated. Similar levels of religious/Mormon extremism. I loved both at least 🙂
