All the non-fiction books I come across are about self growth or improvement. As nice as they are, im pretty bored of them. I really want to read about smth specific, like a really interesting concept or something more science related. It can be anything, let it be bugs or color theory but please something i can learn from.
For example ive always wanted to learn about how music affects our brains or about how memory works, but I can’t seem to find a book like that.

I haven’t read it, but This is Your Brain on Music seems like it would meet your request for that. I’ve read a different book by Daniel J Levitin and he’s not bad.
Peak by K Anders Ericsson explains the actual research Malcolm Gladwell butchered into “10k hours” in Outliers and involves research on specific approaches to learning things like skill and memory tricks.

*Ways of Seeing by John Berger*
