Books like Harry Potter?

Does anyone have a suggestion of a series of books that has character development the same sort of way that the Harry Potter series does? It would be great if it’s a fantasy series with not too much violence/killing in it please!

I’d like to get back into reading but there are way too many books and series to choose from so hoping for some recommendations for other fellow lovers of the series 🪄🧙
