My mom is in her late 50's and I'm 24, we want to do a little "book club" with each other since we live in different states and we used to do it when I was younger. What are some recommendations that we would enjoy? She does NOT want anything with Romance! I'm down for almost anything, my usuals are Romantasy so I have no clue here, maybe start us with a thriller? We read Sweet Miss Honeywells Revenge by Kathryn Reiss before.

Try out House on the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune. It’s about an orphanage for kids with super powers. There is romance in it but it’s not the main plot line at all. It’s more about self acceptance and found family. Super cute read
