I am very new to reading books and I never liked them originally but I want to change that so can you guys give me good suggestions

Movies which I glued on to watch were thrilling, full of suspense, great plot twists, humorous, not scary I am a scaredy cat, and movies full of magic I sound so cringe sometimes 😫

(Please no self-help books) They are boring
    Thank you, everyone 🙂

Okay, guys who helped me —I am grateful for your efforts towards someone in need, thank you very much, and you guys are great, and I'll follow up on the readings you gave me. So you know it doesn't feel like your efforts are going in vain (I will feel bad if I don't so yeah)
Also please keep those suggestions coming

From the very beginning you need something simple but breathtaking. And here will help detectives, especially classics: Agatha Christie, Georges Simenon, James Hadley Chase. And for sure Sir Arthur Conan Doyle with Sherlock Holms.

I like to go to the library and choose random books from the fiction section 😀 or use the Libby app with a library card! I always read Dean Koontz if available

What are your interests outside of reading? Any movies or TV shows that you really enjoyed? That will help give us an idea of what books you might like 🙂

    4. Hyperion by Simmons is poetic scifi told from different story perspectives. It’s futuristic and beautiful and mysterious.

Vonnegut wrote many books that are simple but mindblowing scifi you will remember for years. Cat’s Cradle or Galapagos are both amazing.

Chronicles of Amber by Zelazny is sword and sorcery fantasy in the modern world and the action starts from page 1. Zelazny won several awards and is deeply satisfying to read. You will be angry when real life gets in the way of you reading the next page.

    5. What types of stories do you gravitate toward in movies and television? Scary? Thrilling? Mystery? Humor? Family drama? Romance?

    6. You have not told us anything you like and only one thing you don’t like. Please narrow it down a bit more, huh?
