Summer read/year best seller of years gone by

Hey all. I am looking for a couple of books to gift my wife. Around the holidays she likes an easy read, your summer hit or the top seller that year – most recently she enjoyed Ministry of Time and Dolly Alderton in this vein.

We are trying to buy second hand this year so I was wondering if any one had any older recommendations that I might now pick up easily.
