I’ve been trying to find good books, movies, videos, art (anything) on consciousness, spirituality, perception and reality. I’m an artist and am very interested in these themes.
Here I am specifically asking about books:
So far I’ve found these book recommendations
- Warum es die Welt nicht gibt by Markus Gabriel
- Object-Oriented Ontology, A new theory of everything by Graham Harman
- It lasts forever and then it’s over by Anne de Marcken
- Manifest of new realism by Maurizio Ferraris
- Gödel Escher Bach by Douglas R. Hofstadter
- I, reality and Subjectivity by David R. Hawkins
- Power vs. Force by David R. Hawkins
- Sacred Mirrors by Alex Gray
These are just the recommendations. I’ve been on this journey for a while but I feel kinda stuck. I’ve watched a lot of YouTube videos, but I feel like that’s not enough.
Thing is I have a limited budget and want to buy “the right ones”. I want to be mind blown, maybe even shatter my reality. I want a good balance between spirituality, science and art. I am on a path of spiritual awakening, but I want to have facts, I want to know more about human perception, but also how it ties into the universe basically.
It can be fiction too. Like any/all of these concepts tied into a story.
Are these books good places to start? Do you have any other recommendations?
