Can’t Wait to Get to Heaven by Fannie Flagg. The book does center around the death of a beloved quirky elderly woman, but the main theme is around managing anxiety around death/aging and how to cherish people while you’ve got them instead of mourning them before they go. Also, it’s sweet and hilarious and I love it despite being a heathen

    2. You might like “ brilliant life of Eudora Honeysett” hi Annie Lyons or you might also enjoy “Eleanor Olifant is completely fine” by Gail Honeyman – both are about women grappling with aging and grief in different ways. I’m also worried for my parents and found a lot of hope in these novels.
