I read the expanse series a while ago and I liked the first few books but I thought the last ones dragged on but I thought the ending was really good.

I really like the beware of chicken series, the infinite realm series, and Will Wight's stuff.

I thought the last three books of the wheel of time were great but I didn't like Robert Jordan's character development.

I thought I would like Brandon Sanderson since he wrote the last three books, but his own world building isn't great in my opinion.

I really liked the murderbot series, and the magicians.

I imagine that I would like game of thrones but since it's not finished yet I don't want to read it cuz I don't know when the final book will come out, and also the show makes it seem like the world is really serious and I like books with a little bit of fun.

I also really liked dune and that series. I haven't read the books written by Frank Herbert's son so that would be another option.

I did not like the Poppy Wars. I didn't finish it, but the main character wasn't moral enough for me in the beginning. Maybe that changes? I tried the Wandering Inn, but it didn't land. I did not like heretical fishing, or white trash warlock.

I haven't tried three body problem, but I've heard it's good. Chatgpt recommended the bobiverse, divine dungeon, artorian archives, Dresden files, and the licanius trilogy.

I think I'm more into fantasy than sci-fi, but I do like sci-fi.

I like good character development, and a sense of moral development and social emotional progress. I also like philosophically deep magic. Harry potter has good social emotional development, but the magic system didn't seem very deeply developed.there were different types of magic, but I didn't learn how they worked. To that end, the mother of learning series seems promising, but the first book didn't convince me to invest.

I also liked Paolo Coehlo's books, but they seem almost more atmospheric than detailed in the way that I like.
