The first two that come to mind are Perfume by Patrick Süskind and Julio Cortázar's "The Pursuer."
The Pursuer (that probably most of you don´t know and is amazing) follows Johnny Carter, a brilliant but tormented jazz saxophonist inspired by Charlie Parker. Through the eyes of his friend and biographer, we witness his struggle with time, perception, and the limits of language and the pursuit of transcendence through art.
