I like reading about stuff that I have little/no priour knowledge about. Suggest me some good non-fiction books away from the mainstream. I don‘t care if they‘re about cyber security, latin american dances or the history of bubble era Japan.
Important aspects:
* good readability
* up-to-date
* niche (no politics, finance or psychology)
Example:
* Video Game Works series by Jerremy Parish (big fan of retro gaming)

Poison: A Social History by Joel Levy – my main issue with it is that’s it’s too short and this is a topic that’s worthy of writing 1000 pages encyclopedia on.
The Book of Yokai: Mysterious Creatures of Japanese Folklore by Michael Dylan Foster
Blood, Sweat and Pixels – Jason Schreier
Under the Banner of Heaven – Jon Krakauer
Into Thin Air – Jon Krakauer
Everything is Tuberculosis by John Green.
