I just finished reading Anima by Wajdi Mouawad and was wondering if any elements of the story are autobiographical.
I know Mouawad, like the protagonist, was born in Lebanon and moved between America and Canada.
Also, are the brutal descriptions of the Sabra and Shatila massacre,especially the abuse scenes, based on real testimonies or are they fictionalized for the novel?
