I'm going to Mexico in a few weeks and I'd like a good beach read or two to enjoy while there. Any romance, fantasy, or fiction relating to Mexico would be fantastic!
Nothing too heavy as I'm an anxious traveler so prefer something a little light hearted.

Was gonna recommend 2666 until you said the lighthearted part… still a good read.
I loved You Dreamed of Empires by Alvaro Enrigue. I don’t know if it’s necessarily light hearted but it’s a terrific, fun, acid trip of a read. It’s about (among other things) Montezuma.
