Book Suggestions for Male Gaze Non-Western Literature Assignment

I'm taking a non-western literature class and I need to find two fiction books that focus on the male gaze or are informed by it from non-western authors. Does anyone have two book (or even better, one book and one short story) suggestions that would satisfy this prompt:

1. Select two pieces of literature from different non-Western authors. Summarize each work and identify specific examples of the male gaze influence on each work. Describe the impact the male gaze has on literature and culture. Explain the challenges authors face when creating realistic depictions of characters from other genders, races, and cultures.
