I’m looking for well-sourced books on the JFK assassination — specifically ones that challenge the lone gunman narrative. I know Bugliosi’s book is often recommended, but after reading Chaos (Tom O’Neill), I’m much more skeptical of official explanations and “wrapped up nice and neat” conclusions.

    I’m interested in:
    • Context leading up to JFK’s assassination
    • Internal political tension / CIA / Mafia / foreign policy angles
    • The investigation and aftermath
    • The most credible research that tries to get at the truth, not sensationalism

I’m also open to other major historical cover-ups / deep-state / black ops / political scandal books, if there are ones you consider serious and well-documented.

If you have your top 1-3 “closest to the truth” recommendations, I’d love to hear them.

Thanks in advance — I’m in my rabbit hole era.
