Non-Fiction books about the US or specifically New England in the 1800s?
I’m looking for a non-fiction book about life in the US in the 1800s, preferably something that gives a good overview. I’d also love to read specifically about New England in that time period, if you have any suggestions.

It’s not New England but the Little House on the Prairie series by Laura Ingalls Wilder is about life in the American Midwest in the late 1800s.
