Hello readers! I have just finished reading The King in Yellow by Robert W. Chambers and found a very niche topic I would like to read more about :
American who came in Paris to study art, trying to get noticed at the Salon. To have the topic be even more niche, I'd love to have authors similar to Chambers who went through that path and know enough French to put some "en français dans le texte".
Any french authors welcomed too, but I'd rather this perspective as I'm already familiar with the french experience and writings on Le Salon.
Put historical fiction as a flair, but weird horror like The King in Yellow works too.
