    Hey everyone,
I’ve been getting into true crime lately and would love to read some real-life crime stories — the kind that keep you hooked and make you think. Can you guys suggest some good books based on true events?

I’m open to any style — investigative, psychological, courtroom drama, or even memoirs from detectives/journalists. Just want something gripping and well-written.

    Thanks in advance! 🙏

    1. In Cold Blood by Truman Capote may be the first of its genre.

Also Thunderstruck or Devil in White City by Erik Larson,

    2. Murder in Greenwich: Who Killed Martha Moxley?

This book was redemption for Mark Fuhrman, who was professionally disgraced during the OJ Simpson trial.

    3. I’m currently reading Murder in the Dollhouse: the Jennifer Dulos Story. It’s by Rich Cohen. Good so far!

Until the Twelfth of Never by Bella Stumbold.

      The Hillside Stranglers.

      Helter Skelter by Vincent Bugliosi.

      Small Sacrifices by Ann Rule.

Ghettoside by Jill Leovy. Great read. Also, Journey into Darkness by John Douglas. He pioneered the FBI’s criminal profiling division. He’s wrote several other books on this subject. They’re all interesting and…disturbing.

    6. *I’ll Be Gone in the Dark* by Michelle McNamara

*The Mushroom Tapes* by Garner, Hooper, and Krasnostein
