Book recommendations (maybe sci fi?)

Hi, so the thing is I haven’t read a whole book for 5 years already. I feel really bad about it because I always procrastinate reading any of my picks because they are not perfect.

I was wondering if I could find something close to being perfect for me, but I also believe that my vocabulary about genres etc. might be very limited – sorry if I’m not describing things too well.

I wanted to find something preferably without romance as the main topic – but it could still be mentioned
Maybe sci fi – the things that would be cool would be robots or something about astronomy, or other universes etc.

I also thought a lot about two specific topics – a main character who could be a robot, trying to figure out emotions or a post apocalyptic book about travelling through the world which was once full of life

I would rather the book to have a bit of a depressing feeling, but I would appreciate it if the ending would be good after all. It doesn’t have to be though, just a thought

I honestly planned to word this better, but as I said, I feel like my vocabulary becomes more and more limited everyday, so I’m really sorry if it’s not too many details or if it doesn’t make sense. Thank you and please just recommend anything that would fit even a little bit:)
