Hi! I'm gearing up to play a TTRPG called Curseborne, and recently I read Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil. I have loved vampires since I was a kid and read Anne Rice, and with the combination of playing a vampire soon, Bury Our Bones, and the IWtV series, I've been wanting more pretty bad, but it's just really hard to re-read Anne Rice as an adult.
Can anyone recommend me more books along the lines of Bury Our Bones? Asking for vampire stories frequently gets you either paranormal romance or horror from the perspective of a human; I'm more looking for stories like Rice or Schwab writes (just without the…y'know, racism and misogyny of the Rice books when you read them as an adult in the 2020s instead of as a kid in the 90s).
Not looking for romances, but ABSOLUTE bonus points for queer-themed stories (y'know, like Bury Our Bones and the Chronicles are without being romances).
