I'm 3/4 into Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine. I'm looking for similar books to carry me through the rest of the year.

I'm specifically after light reads – not necessarily festive or funny, but definitely not the depressing literary fiction I usually gravitate toward.

What would you recommend that has a similar vibe? Thanks in advance!

Strange Sally Diamond – Liz Nugent.
The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue – VE Schwab.
The housemaid by Freida Mc Fadden – I loved Eleanor Oliphant

One of the things I love about *Eleanor Oliphant* is how the book dealt with heavy topics with a light tone without cheapening the seriousness of the heavy topics.

If that’s the kind of vibe you’re looking for *Bananapants* by Penny Reid is a (somewhat smutty) rom-com where one of the characters has bipolar, and a big component of the plot is how they navigate that.
