To clarify what I mean by the title, I'm looking for books like Count of Monte Cristo, where they take a while to 'get going', but when shit goes down it GOES DOWN. Shakespeare's plays are a good example of this– i think the term is 'comedy of errors'?
Bonus points for third person omniscient / POV-swapping, political and social maneuvering, and themes surrounding death,dehumanization,misogyny,and suicide. Plus an extra point for each murder, of course >: )
