If your description is true (never read a book), any book is going to improve you, even a terrible book makes you read.

Like you never even read a book in school ? 😮 it’s hard to suggest one because there are so many amazing books. Stay away from commercialized books like romantasy, smut, young adult, etc… actually read something worth reading. The classics are good. I’ve never heard someone who dislikes “Piranesi” by Susanna Clarke, will likely be a modern classic, it’s short and can be read in one or two sittings. It’s interesting, gripping, and makes you think

Skunk and Badger. It’s a children’s series. It’s about the typical things books for children are about but it’s so cute and amazing and honestly still helps bc sometimes you do forget the small things that you once learned

Some people don’t like the suggestion, but 12 Rules for Life by Jordan Peterson has helped a lot of people with motivation and finding purpose. His YouTube videos would give you an idea if you weren’t sure.
