Just as the title suggests!
Life so far has been kicking my butt lately and the silly and whimsy in me is slowly eroding into nothingness as adulthood fully consumes me.
I need a book, or book series, that can re-ignite the spark that makes me want to continue to live and dream. Please suggest me your favorite books that have completely absorbed you and left you breathless and vaguely disoriented when you put it down and returned back to the real world.
Let's see… my favorite genre is usually fantasy, adventure, maybe a commentary on society in it. Some examples include: anything by R.F. Kuang, Circe (and Song of Achilles) by Madeleine Miller, The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien. But I'm open to anything, really.

How about [The Girl Who Drank the Moon](https://app.thestorygraph.com/books/b8b6a493-2301-493a-bc3e-d4e79c04f4a3) by Kelly Barnhill?
Or if you’re open to something slice of life, I’ll recommend my absolute favorite book, [The Hands of the Emperor](https://share.google/ID8EUnwDjqkoB35LB) by Victoria Goddard! It’s a beautifully written slice of life book about the personal secretary to the emperor of the world, with a heavy focus on platonic relationships.
