any genre (although I would love some crime or art related stuff). something with a similar vibe or writing style. preferably a stand alone book
books I really enjoyed: this is how you lose the time war, if we were villains, the picture of dorian gray, a midsummer night‘s dream (yes the play by shakespeare), the near witch (by v.e. Schwab, heavy on this book it‘s one of my absolute favorites), perfume: a story of a murderer, Percy Jackson

My favorite book is East of Eden- John Steinbeck.
However, I read every genre. Consider reading The Buffalo Hunter Hunter by Stephen Graham Jones. Super good horror that’s not overbearing with trying to be too scary. It’s probably my favorite read of the year, tbh.
Also, Cormac McCarthy books. He’s so good. The Road, Blood Merdian, No Country for Old Men, etc, are all amazing.
Lastly, any Stephen King. If you have never read any of his stuff, I’d start with Pet Semetary, Misery, Christine, etc…then move on to The Stand and IT.
