Hello!
As the title of this post indicates, I'm looking for a fun and easy-to-read fantasy book.
However, I have dyslexia and some concentration problems that hinder and prevent me from immersing myself in a book; it's really frustrating!
I've tried many times because I want to discover new stories, but without success.
(For example, I've tried reading The Hobbit several times (because I was told it was a children's book), The Witcher, and others, but I've never managed to get past 3 or 4 chapters…
The only exception was The Hedge Knight by George R. R. Martin, which I managed to finish and really enjoyed!)
So I was advised to start with books for teens or young adults, but there are so many!
Does anyone have ideas? Or recommendations?
(If it helps, I like fantasy (D&D-like?), horror (all kinds, with a soft spot for apocalyptic or zombie stories), unconventional romances (LGBT themes welcome). Silly stories don't bother me, but Mary and Gary Sue novels aren't really my thing. Short stories are preferable, but I wouldn't mind a series!)
Thank you in advance to anyone who can guide me; I'm eager to discover new works! 😀

Might also be good to check out some graphic novels! Try out Y: the Last Man for an apocalyptic tale.
If you like D&D you have to read Dungeon Crawler Carl!!
