Help finding a book to read!

I hope this is okay to post. So as the title suggests I need some help in finding a book to read! I've set a goal to be able to read one book before the year ends however im struggling to find one that peaks my interest as i tend to lose interest after a few pages. I do like a good mystery/thriller and maybe something that is a bit introverted. Im also interested in reading poetry by south asian poets if someone could help direct me to some would be good. I think something short that i could read on the tube on my way to work would be good. Im also open to any suggestions🙂
