a fantasy/sci fi novel targeted toward young adults/adults that isnt particularly hard to read
hi so im an english learner in my 20s and am looking for some suggestions for a fantasy/sci fi novel that isnt particularly hard to read and is well written enough to keeps me engaged so i can improve my english.
John Scalzi’s **Agent to the Stars** is wrapped around first contact with aliens. A Hollywood agent takes on a project to safely introduce extra-terrestrials to the planet.

You might enjoy A Red Age about a gritty talking dinosaur war story

The Murderbot series by Martha Wells was a fun, easy read.

Eragon by Christopher Paolini. Easy to read, and entertaining enough to hold your interest. He wrote it way back when he was 19, which I think help lends to the ease of language. 1st in a series of dragon books.

Try Terry Pratchett most of the underlying plots are simple to follow so anything you miss will not spoil your reading.
I’d recommend “Nation” by him even though it’s not fantasy/scfi because it’s more on the young adult side and you wouldn’t have any trouble with it but you should enjoy it.
I enjoy his books for youngsters as much as his adult books.
For more adult try Wyrd Sisters or Guards! Guards!
