Hi, this is a two-parter since I didn't want to make multiple posts and clog the feed. First, I'm looking for books that are retail-themed horror novels. If any of you have seen playthroughs of games like Night of the Consumers, Chilla's Coffee, or Hellmart (ESPECIALLY Hellmart, the idea of a survivalist-retail-supernatural horror is scratching a delicious little spot in my brain), I want something with those vibes.
The second thing I'm looking for is suburban-based horror like The Stepford Wives (and to a lesser extent the Wayward Pines series) where the suburban environment is integral to the horror of the story.
Ten thousand years of joy upon you if you manage to find something that is both retail *and* suburban horror.
Thank you all!

I don’t know the games you’re talking about, but check out Horrorstor by Grady Hendrix or Finna by Nino Cipri.
Tales From the Gas Station by Jack Townsend. Can’t recommend a funnier horror comedy!
The Store by Bentley Little. Really great horror about a Walmart type store taking over small towns in these really insidious and cult like ways. But be warned his books can be pretty shocking.
Needful Things by Stephen King
