Just like the title, I'd love a recommendation for a love story where the leads are always in a banter against each other, be it playful or otherwise. (Preferably the former but anything goes anyways)
I don’t know if you’re a Shakespeare fan, but Much Ado about Nothing is very similar to what you described! There are also retellings if you want a more modern vibe.

Gideon the Ninth by Tamsin Muir, it’s got a lot of playfully bickering couples. There’s both straight and queer romances going on, it definitely leans more on the sapphic ones though. Should mention it is a bit of a… gothic space horror high fantasy?
