Hello! I (30f) am going through a separation and we had been together for almost 12 years. We also have a 4 year old daughter together. It’s been sad and ugly and the grief and anger are all consuming. I’ve never been so mad and sad in my life. I’m looking for a literary fiction book maybe with themes of grief, starting over, transformation, centering yourself, female rage, maybe revenge lol. I am a bit newer to the genre (and to reading leisurely as an adult) but I enjoyed Our Wives Under the Sea, Martyr!, Piranesi, The River Has Roots, I felt like Bat Eater and Other Names for Cora Zeng had some literary elements. And I will read anything. I’ve loved the Bloodsworn saga by John Gwynne, One Golden Summer by Carley Fortune, All the Sinners Bleed by SA Cosby, I’m Glad My Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy, Babel by RF Kuang. So I will truly take all suggestions. Thank you so much I’ve never posted here before and I’m stoked 🙂
