I just read an article about the shift from small businesses towards larger, centralised companies that dominate everything (Amazon, Google, Meta, Microsoft, fast food chains, healthcare providers and drug manufacturers, energy and telecommunications companies…).
Are there any good books published recently (ideally last 2 years but up to 5 years) that explore the rise of these new conglomerates, what their aim is, their negative (or/and positive) effects on the world and why we flock to them.
