I (20M) lost the only person I truly loved in my family. I’m going through a lot right now and I’ve felt deeply lonely ever since he passed. I’ve always been an avid reader and I’m hoping books can help distract me or guide me through this.
Please recommend any books that might help. I mostly read non-fiction like philosophy and history as well as some classic fiction but I’m open to fiction in general as long as it’s good. Recommend me any great book please.

Sophie’s World- Jostein Gaarder.
I don’t know if it’s appropriate because I DNF’d it when I realized how heavy the subject. I’ve shelved “the year of magical thinking” because I am saving it for when I need it. I’m dreading the day that I need it but if I were you I would read it now.
Hi. I lost my only little brother a year ago too. I’m here if you need anything please DM me
If you’re looking for guidance or something heartfelt, perhaps try The Curious Kitten at the Chibineko Kitchen by Yuta Takahashi. It’s about the things we never got to say.
Notes On Your Sudden Disappearance by Alison Espach is a moving novel about losing a sibling and how the whole family responds differently over the 15 years following the accident. The author lost a brother at a young age, and it is deeply personal.
