I saw a post (I think it might have been in this group) from a long time ago, about a book that I really want to get my dad for Christmas.
I thought I’d screenshotted it, but I either didn’t or I’ve accidentally deleted it.
If I describe what I remember can anyone identify it?
It was a non fiction book about visiting different cities with various experts, and the experts would explain what they could tell about the city by looking around. Eg. An architect was taking about the different styles of buildings, a geologist was talking about the topography… etc.
Does it ring any bells?

You may have better luck posting at r/whatsthatbook.
On Looking: Eleven Walks With Expert Eyes by Alexandra Horowitz is what immediately came to mind, but it’s all around one place, not different cities.
