Question for gamers, I’m looking for a book with the “reality is breaking down” vibes of games like Alan Wake 1, Pacific Drive, or Atomfall.
Title says all. Any help would be appreciated. Got a long car ride soon and would love to dive into a book that feels similar to Alan Wake 1 as I play through it on the ride.
This is my favorite genre of game (mostly to watch, I get too scared playing lol) But I it find hard for books match the exact energy of Alan Wakes/Control. These I feel like got close for me:

American Elsewhere by Robert Jackson Bennett
Borne by Jeff Vandermeer – I’d also recommend Shriek or Authority, if you like his style

Control is another comparable one.
Or like Twin Peaks, but a novel.
